Pratik Nowlakha
CEO & Founder
Pratik Nowlakha is a finance professional with over 20 years of comprehensive experience in public markets, private equity, and investment management in corporate India.
Before founding Sapimenta, Pratik was with a conglomerate across diverse sectors such as mining, shipping, trading, steel, power, media, and hospitality and managing investments for the Group.
His significant role at Samara Capital, a leading mid-market private equity fund, spanned nearly a decade. There, he engaged with entrepreneurs, collaborated with CEOs, and worked with multifunctional teams to drive growth and operational efficiency, leading to successful IPOs and strategic exits. Pratik also served as a director on the boards of portfolio companies including Iron Mountain India and Paradise Biryani, gaining valuable insights into capital deployment and business success factors.
Prior to Samara Capital, he was a lead equity analyst at Batlivala & Karani, providing investment guidance to foreign institutional investors, mutual funds, and insurance companies.
His career includes stints and association with Franklin Templeton, Kotak Securities, Tata AIG, and Standard Chartered Bank, showcasing a well-rounded expertise in finance and general management.
With a deep passion for Indian public markets, Pratik has been investing for two decades. In 2022, he enhanced his expertise by obtaining certifications in Mutual Fund, Portfolio Management Services and Alternate Investment Funds.
Outside of work, Pratik enjoys reading, traveling, spending time with family, meditating, and playing tennis.
